Love These Quotes

To our Moms,

Just a simple thank you for all you have done, and continue to do, for me and for Robbie!

"The noblest calling in the world is motherhood. True motherhood is the most beautiful of all the arts, the greatest of all professions. She who can paint a masterpiece, or who can write a book that will influence millions, deserves the plaudits and admiration of mankind; but she who rears successfully a family of healthy, beautiful sons and daughters whose immortal souls will exert an influence throughout the ages long after paintings shall have faded, and books and statues shall have decayed or been destroyed, deserves the highest honor that man can give, and the choicest blessings of God." - David O. Mckay

"Heaven is at the feet of mothers." -Roebuck

"The mother, more than any other, affects the moral and spiritual part of the children's character. She is their constant companion and teacher in formative years. The child is ever imitating and assimilating the mother's nature. It is only in after life that men gaze backward and behold how a mother's hand and heart of love molded their young lives and shaped their destiny."
-E.W. Caswell

Little Thoughts

I just thought I would write a little bit before my little one gets up from his nap. I have recently been trying very hard to live in the moment. I feel like time is going by so fast and I do not want to have any regrets when I look back on my life. I do look forward to events and other things with anticipation, but I am just trying to live everyday to its fullest and not rush through things. In other words I am enjoying the 'doing' part of my life rather than the 'getting it done' part of my life.

I feel very blessed to be where I am in life right now. I get to stay home with my little one full time. That in and of it self is a miracle. Being a mom is the best job ever, hands down. My loving husband goes to work everyday so that I can stay home with Robbie. I am so thankful for that. I love watching Robbie play on the floor. One of my favorite activities recently is sitting outside in the yard on a blanket with him and just playing with him. We bring out a couple of toys, but for the most part he just babbles to me and stands up, with my help of course, and we have a great time waiting for daddy to come home. It is so fun having a baby that loves you. He is just happy to be with me and daddy. His life is complete as long as he is fed, changed and playing with his parents. Yay for kids!

So, here was my thought for the day...or so.

Camping in American Fork Canyon

Ok these are a little backwards, but you'll get the picture....
Here is a spot near where we camped where Rob went fishing. It was beautiful to sit there with Robbie and watch Daddy fish.

Here is our amazing fiisherman!
He did catch a fish, which made him happy,
but he was a little dude so he got put back
to grow up some more.

Here is Daddy outside our tent.
We had such a fun time together.

Here is our fisherman in all his glory!

This is Robbie sitting with me on the banks of the river.

Here is our little camper all ready for the trip. Apparently all you need is toilet paper and a flash light.... He is so cute!

In the tent the next morning,
getting dressed to go fishing.

Mom and Robbie in his hiking backpack!
He loves this thing, plus it has access to pulling out mom's hair, who wouldn't love that?

Early morning shot all curled up in the sleeping bags.

Dad, we thought of you when we saw
this cool tree growing out of the hill side.

SEEING DOUBLE

So, Robbie is learning to crawl...he isn't quite there, but he is getting the hang of being on his tummy more often.
The other morning I was holding him and he was laughing at himself in the mirror that we have on our wall in the living room. So, I decided to get our free standing mirror out and see what happened.

He loved it! This is such a cute shot of him as he laughs at me through the mirror!

Adorable, right?

This is him playing with the other baby. He will babble at himself for hours. He touches the glass and then laughs hysterically. It is soooo cute.

Ok. so here is a cute video of him playing with himself in the mirror. Enjoy!

Laura's Choir Conert

We attended Laura's final choir concert on Wednesday. It was beautiful, and yes we video taped it for all your viewing pleasures!
Here we are as a fam after the show.

Here is Rob and Robbie with some friends of Rob's from highschool and their sweet babies too. Robbie is totally interested in Ella, as you can see here.

Here is the fam shot after the concert. Katie made it along with Vaughn. Brighton does this cool thing where all the alumni come up and sing with the present choirs on stage at the end of the program. It is really cool. They sang 'Come thou Fount' and 'A Red, Red Rose'. It was a neat experience to see Laura up there with two of her siblings that love her so much. Thanks Laura for the beautiful music and the opportnity we had to come see you sing! We love you girl!
