Well, life here is pretty interesting. They say that things break in 3's. Whoever, "They" is, is WRONG!!! Apparently, there is no magic number to things that break. Here is a list of things that have broken around our place in the last week or so.
1) Beloved Box Fan
2) Our DVD player
3) Our stand alone mirror
4)My body....I can't even blog about it, its too painful....let's just say chronic hives led to a month on steroids and now I look like the woman on Harry Potter that blew up like a balloon, but only in my face....two words: water weight. One word: GROSS! Not even pregnant did I look this bad...and besides I was pregnant...I had a baby....
5) Our Washing Machine....(and yes it flooded our kitchen majorly, and yes Rob was not home when it happened... nor was he reachable because he was tubing the Provo River, and yes I was washing ALL of our towels at the time of the breakage. All I can say is thank heavens for our amazing neighbors who saved the day.)
6) I'll leave this blank for the next thing that goes....
So, needless to say we are doing and will do our part to stimulate the economy in our neck of the woods as we replace these broken items. On the bright side, we get a new washing machine and dryer. The ones we had were purchased for $100.00 total and were 15 years old when we got them. They lasted 3 years and have totally paid for themselves. Plus, we discovered that the bottom of the washer was home to like a bazillion spiders and their babies....so I say good bye to the old washer and an enthusiastic, "HELLO!" to our new additions to the family! We will post pictures of them when they come.
But, I am not all miffed about the recent breaks...we have had some major blessings through out it all.
1) We got a new box fan whom we love.
2)We didnt really watch a whole lot of t.v. or dvd's before, but now we have filled our time with far greater things than watching a movie we might have watched before.
3)Um, I think all we get for brealing the mirroe is 7 years bad luck....oops
4) I no longer have hives...although I am thinking about trading back to the hives, seriously people...I look like a balloon...
5)duh, we get a new washer and dryer....yay for clean clothes and less noise hopefully!
6) we have seen just how much we are truly blessed to even have stuff to break in the first place. Some people in this world would give their all to have these "problems" that I am casually joking about.
so, that is it for this addition of, "If it aint broke..." Until next time.....
btw: I will post tomorrow about the formal dinner that Rob and I attended on Friday night....it was awesome!

Manti Pageant Trip
We made the trek to Manti this past weekend to see the pageant that Manti is famous for. We had a great time being together. Mom came with us and we had a great picnic before the show started. Here are some pictures from the evening. The pageant takes place on the hill in front of the temple. It is dramatic, but that is what a pageant is all about. The mosquitoes were almost as big as baby Robbie, but we were fortunate enough to have bug spray! Yay for modern technology.

Sometimes we have to walk before we can crawl
Rob and I went on a date tonight. We went to dinner and a $1 movie. We had so much fun, but the better part of the night was picking up little dude and heading home to all be together. Here is a little bit of our evening together. We are trying hard to encourage/help Robbie crawl, but the little man wants to walk. He rarely just sits anymore. He is always trying to pull himself up to a standing poisition and he will use any means necessary to do so. My hair is a favorite choice recently as well as any appendage that protrudes out that he can grab onto. Here we are chillaxin on the floor with our little man(and I just thought the little bum shot was adorable)The videos are of him doing his favorite activity right now...standing.... and finding random carpet pieces that have come loose and picking them up to examine them.

Box Fan Dies at Age of 3
In loving memory of our box fan. He was with us for 3 short years. Purchased at Wal-Mart for around $13.00. He provided the background noise to which we fell asleep to at night, as well as a much needed breeze in the warmer months. We will miss you, our beloved friend. He pretty much was on day and night for 3 years! Now, that is what we call quality. It will be hard to replace you, but we have to do it soon because it is so hot now.
I turned him off Sunday morning because Baby Robbie was sitting in front of him and when I tried to turn him back on he had given up the ghost. (Sniff, Sniff). I tried unplugging him and replugging him back in, but with no luck. Rob even tried reviving him, but all we got was the straining sound of the motor as he tried to turn his blades. May you rest in peace our beloved box fan....

Baby's Room
This is Blue. He is one of Robbie's puppies that swings from his mobile. Every morning Robbie has to kiss him and the other 3 goodbye before we leave the crib.
This is Spots.
This is the armoire that we got from Robbie's grandmother.
Here is a closeup
and a view from the handles.
Here is the quote I hung over his bed.
Here is his crib. A huge thanks to Robbie's Great Aunts and Uncles for the great gifts they gave us. The crib was from Tio Robert and Tia Janet. The bedding was from Tio Olaf and Tia Miryam.
Here is the quilt that came with the bedding. Robbie loves puppies. He must get that from Grammy, what do you think?
Here is Brownie...dog number 3.
Here is Scruffy, dog number 4.
Summer Time Baseball
This is a view from the fields where Robbie plays softball. It is so beautiful with all the trees and the mountains right there.
Here is our mighty ball player warming up before the big game. Robbie plays quite well. He beat a fast throw to first last night, it was fun to watch.

"S" is for Sunday
Baby Robbie had a rougher night last night than usual so by 7:20 this morning he was in bed with us and his bottle. Rob and I managed to doze until about 10ish, and by doze, I mean pretend to sleep while baby Robbie kicked me and discovered Daddy's face with his hands. But, there is no better feeling than waking up to his sweet little face right in front of mine and to watch him smile as he realizes that you are awake and can see him. He is so precious. So, although it was early....especially for a Sunday, there is no way I would rather wake up than with my little dude in my face smiling and "patting" me and having my husband next to me. I love my two men! Yay for family and yay for Sunday mornings.

Can you ever have too many friends?
ok, so recently in the mornings Robbbie and I have been playing with his abundant stuffed animals. We line them all up, and by we I mean me, and Robbie talks with all of them for a little bit before dispersing them to various play groups. We affectionately call this our town meeting. Yesterday they tried lobbying for better positions in the toy basket, but were eventually told by Robbie that where he put them was where they had to stay.
After the town meeting they all dog pile on robbie...can you find him among the friends?
The start of the meeting.

OUR SLEEPYHEAD
Yesterday was a long day for Robbie. He did not get a nap, so when Daddy got home he was tired and fussy. We had to clean up the apartment because we had our singles ward coming over for Family Home Evening so Rob put Robbie in his highchair and he fell asleep like this drinking a bottle of juice. Isn't he sweet? He slept like that for about 45 minutes.
[For those of you who do not know, Rob was called to a singles ward Bishopric. He is the second counselor. A Bishopric is part of the clergy for our church. A Bishopric consistis of A Bishop and a first and second counselor. They are lay callings, meaning no pay. And a singles ward is a geographic unit that divides what church building you go to. (Kind of like school districts) Singles, meaning that the people that attend this particular ward are all single and between the ages of 18 and 30.) If you have questions...feel free to ask me and I'll try and clarify some more.]
This was last night. Here is Robbie dancing with me. He gets very happy when Daddy is home and can play with us too. Also, this is one of my favorite onsies that he wears recently. It is a true statement.
Here, is what I think is a video of Robbie dancing....
